Six Wickets, One Working Counter

COLLECTION INDUSTRIES LIMITED recovers overdue invoices for Hong Kong exporters and mainland suppliers through a disciplined counter process. From the counter at Rm 2253, 22/F, Tsing Yeung Circuit, Hoi Tai Fty Est, Tuen Mun, Hong Kong, our officers run reminder ladders, negotiated payment plans, verification visits and documented legal handoffs, and every step is logged for the client.

Now Serving SWicket W3
Next Up SWicket W5

COLLECTION INDUSTRIES LIMITED opens its quarterly payment plan review window for creditor clients, and each service below is booked through the same counter and the same single file.

The Service Run

Six services, read left to right

Each wicket owns one service and stays accountable for it. A file can pass through several wickets, but it never loses its number or its officer. The paragraphs below describe what happens at each counter position, what the client supplies, and what the client receives in return. Every engagement is logged, dated and available to the creditor on request.

W1 B2B Invoice Recovery

B2B Invoice Recovery

B2B Invoice Recovery is the core engagement at Wicket W1. We receive the aged sales ledger from the creditor client, validate each balance against the underlying invoices and delivery documents, and open one file per account. From there the file climbs a reminder ladder: a statement of account, a firm chase, a notice before demand and a formal demand, each dated and each recorded in the log. The ladder escalates in wording but never in abuse, because the counterparty is usually still a trading partner and the aim is cash rather than conflict. The officer at W1 also decides when a file is ready to move sideways to negotiation at W3 or upward to the legal bench at W5.

The client sees a weekly progress view listing every account, its current rung on the ladder, the last contact date and the amount recovered. Nothing is aggregated into a vague percentage. Each balance keeps its own line, its own history and its own next action.

W2 Credit Screening and Monitoring

Credit Screening and Monitoring

Credit Screening and Monitoring sits at Wicket W2, ahead of the debt rather than behind it. Before a supplier extends terms to a new buyer, we assemble a picture from trade references, registry signals, public filings and observed payment behaviour across the same lane. The officer turns that into a plain limit recommendation with the reasons written out, so a merchandiser can decide quickly without reading a dossier. Where a relationship is already running, W2 keeps a watch note alive and flags a change in behaviour before it becomes an overdue balance.

The value of screening is measured in invoices that never age. A buyer who is screened honestly and limited sensibly rarely becomes a recovery file at all, and the client keeps both the margin and the relationship.

W3 Payment Plan Negotiation

Payment Plan Negotiation

Payment Plan Negotiation at Wicket W3 carries most files over the line. Once contact is established, the officer meets the buyer, reviews the buyer cash cycle, and prices an instalment schedule that the buyer can actually keep. We would rather sign a modest plan that completes than extract a promise that fails. The agreed terms are captured in a short written plan, sent to the creditor client for approval, and then monitored against their own calendar with reminders issued before each due date.

When a plan is missed, W3 does not simply restart the chase. The officer reopens the conversation, tests whether the miss is temporary, and either resets the schedule or escalates the file to verification and legal preparation. The client is told which path was chosen and why.

W4 Field Verification Visits

Field Verification Visits

Field Verification Visits are handled at Wicket W4 and exist to turn claims into evidence. An officer attends the premises of the counterparty to confirm that the business trades where the paperwork says it trades, that stock and staff are consistent with the stated scale, and that the person signing a plan or acknowledgment holds the authority to bind the company. The visit is photographed and written up as a signed report, and any document signed on site is added to the file the same day.

Verification is often the quiet step that decides a case. A file with a dated, signed visit report is far stronger in negotiation and far easier for counsel to plead than a file resting on unanswered emails. Where a party has moved or vanished, the visit report records that fact cleanly so the client can act on it.

W5 Legal Handoff Documentation

Legal Handoff Documentation

Legal Handoff Documentation is prepared at Wicket W5. When negotiation closes without settlement, the client receives a dated bundle containing the ledger extract, the full correspondence log, the signed plan history, the verification report and a plain summary of the claim with its arithmetic shown. We do not offer legal advice and we do not act as solicitors. We do something narrower and more useful: we make sure that when counsel is instructed, every fact is on the table and nothing has to be reconstructed from memory.

A complete handoff shortens every later proceeding and reduces cost. Counsel starts from a file rather than a box, which means fewer discovery rounds, fewer surprises and a clearer view of whether the claim is worth pursuing at all. The client always makes the decision to litigate, and does so with the whole picture in hand.

W6 Cross-Border Receivables Desk

Cross-Border Receivables Desk

The Cross-Border Receivables Desk at Wicket W6 ties the trade lane together. Hong Kong exporters and mainland suppliers frequently chase the same slow buyer from opposite sides of the border, and a single desk that reads both books recovers faster than two agencies working blind. The desk coordinates language, banking rails and timing so that a promise made in one city is honoured in the other, and so that a buyer cannot play one creditor against another.

The desk also handles the practical friction of cross-border recovery: time zones, remittance channels, differing document conventions and the small delays that quietly kill momentum. By keeping one officer responsible for both ends of the lane, we remove the handover gaps where files usually stall.

Process Overview

From the first notice to the last receipt

The counter runs on a fixed sequence, and every file follows it. The sequence is deliberately simple because a process that cannot be explained at the counter cannot be trusted with a balance.

  1. STEP 1

    Intake

The aged ledger is received and validated, accounts are numbered, and each balance is given a wicket seat and a named officer before any contact begins.

  2. STEP 2

    Contact and ladder

The reminder ladder runs on a dated schedule. Replies are logged, genuine plans pause the ladder, and the client receives a weekly view of every account in motion.

  3. STEP 3

    Plan or verify

Where goodwill remains, a plan is priced and signed. Where it does not, a field visit locks the evidence and the file moves toward a documented legal handoff.

  4. STEP 4

    Receipt and closure

Money is receipted as it arrives, plans are monitored to completion, and each file closes with a full written history retained for the creditor client.
